FPH (Branch 1) celebrates International Day of the Midwife
The Department of Midwifery of the Faculty of Public Health (Branch 1) organized a scientific day on the occasion of the International Day of Midwife, under the auspices of Dean Nabil Haddad, and in the presence of the Branch Director Ahmad Rifai Siraj, Dr. Elie Hadchiti, and Dr. Rima Chaito, as well as a group of interested people.
The scientific day included a historical presentation of the creation of the midwifery specialization at the faculty and its essential role in the labor market, while participants discussed the challenges facing the teaching of this major in Lebanon and worldwide.
Data based on scientific research was also presented that could serve as a roadmap for measures to preserve the quality of education and health of women and their families. Finally, key activities carried out by the department and some topics that highlight the development aspects of midwifery were discussed.
