Dr. Walid Rachidi to LU students: “Your university empowers you to reach the highest ranks”
My name is Walid Rachidi, and I am currently dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Grenoble Alpes, which is a well-known university and one of the universities ranked by Shanghai Ranking as the first among Paris universities.
The Lebanese University was the reason for our founding, our ranking, and the level that we have reached.
Since 2006, we have also signed agreements with the Lebanese University, and every year we take a number of outstanding students and enroll them in master's programs with scholarships and jobs, because we have students from all countries, especially Lebanese students and students from the Lebanese University are always among the top students in their master's programs and always succeed in obtaining scholarships for their doctorates.
However, I wanted to address this message to students in general and Lebanese University students in particular, because the most important thing is to work hard and study, because your university will grant you, if you study well, the highest ranks. I started out like you, as a student at the Lebanese University, and after a few years I became a professor, and after a few more years I became dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy.
