The architectural project of Dr. Khaled Abu Taam of the Lebanese University on the List of Honor of “TINY LIBRARY 2021”
The architectural project of Dr. Khaled Abu Taam, professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture (Branch 4) was included on 30 June 2021 on the list of honor list for the best projects participating in the international competition “TINY LIBRARY 2021” launched by “volumezerocompetitions”.
The competition simulated the design of a small library that can accommodate a hundred people and contains traditional reading materials as well as modern technology such as electronic, audio, and audio-visual books, playing the role of a central thinking cell for local communities, and promoting public interaction and community development.
It is noteworthy that the architectural team, which includes Dr. Abu Taam, Catherine Zalzali, Ali Al-Afi and Yekaterina Abu Taam, had won on 8 June 2021 the first prize in the international architectural competition “Ethiopian Satellite Preschool” organized by the Architectural Platform “Archstorming”, as well as several prizes in previous international architectural competitions.
