The Faculty of Engineering wins the “IEEE” Regional Exemplary Student Branch Award 2020
For the first time in history, the Faculty of Engineering (Branch 1) of the Lebanese University won on 13 December 2020 the “Regional Exemplary Student Branch Award 2020” awarded by the “Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers” (IEEE).
This result comes in recognition of the efforts made by IEEE club students in the Faculty and the activities implemented to support the development of technology in the service of humanity.
Despite all the events that Lebanon and the world have gone through, the students of the Faculty of Engineering (Branch 1) continued to organize activities inside and outside the Faculty and virtually, including technical workshops and scientific dialogue sessions that contributed to enhancing scientific and technological awareness among students.
The club committee for the year 2020 consisted of students Bourhan Dernaika, Omar Ahmad, Sirine Othman, Antoun Hajj, Edouard Tamer, Mohamad Daboussi, Saba Bacha and Karim Dandachi.
The committee for the year 2021 consisted of student Hanna Obeid, Omar Ahmed, Mohamad Daboussi, Edouard Tamer, Antoun Hajj, Roukoz Abboud, Raafat Othman and Saba Bacha.
