Graduate Hanan Farfour represents Lebanon in an Arabic poetry competition
Graduate and poet Hanan Farfour represents Lebanon in the 9th edition of the "Prince of Poets" competition, organized by the Cultural Programs & Heritage Festival Committee – Abu Dhabi every two years at Al Raha Beach Theater.
Among +900 poets from the Arab world, Farfour, who is pursuing the master in Arabic Language & Literature at the Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences, reached the live competition, which includes 20 competitors selected by a specialized jury.
Farfour recalled her study days at the Lebanese University and said that “it is the last shield in our battle to build a free and independent civilized nation, and we shall count on it to graduate a generation who, despite all, believes in the resurrection of Lebanon from the ashes...".
