The Lebanese University ranks first and fifth in the “Huawei Seeds for the Future Program 2020”
Students Abbas Khrais and Hadi Zain El-Din from the Faculty of Science (Branch 1) and Hussein Kazem from the Faculty of Engineering (Branch 3) ranked first and fifth in the “Seeds for the Future Program 2020” launched by Huawei - Lebanon, in cooperation with the Lebanese IT Syndicate, in early December 2020.
With the participation of 20 students from six Lebanese universities, the program was implemented this year online due to the Coronavirus procedures, and included training seminars and technical tests and concluded with the Lebanese University ranking first and fifth as follows:
First place: Hadi Zain El-Din (1st year - Master in Informatics) and Abbas Khrais (3rd year – Informatics) – Faculty of Science (Branch 1)
Fifth place: Hussein Kazem (4th year - Electronic Engineering) - Faculty of Engineering (Branch 3)
The program launched in 2008, aims to support digital transformation and build a sustainable ICT ecosystem in Lebanon by nurturing talented students and developing their technical capabilities on the latest technologies in the world of the ICT industry.
