Lebanese University's “Green Pot” project wins Oman Climate Week

The Green Pot project from the Lebanese University won third place in the Oman Climate Week Hackathon, which was held in Oman from February 24 to 26, 2025, with the participation of ten innovative teams.

 

The project, presented by students Marwa Rammal and Jana Rammal from the Doctoral School of Science & Technology, is a green bucket containing organic waste that was converted into plantable materials and soil nutrients, and was implemented under the supervision of Dr. Akram Hijazi.

 

Oman Climate Week showcases the latest innovations and technologies in the field of climate change and the environment and discusses strengthening regional efforts to address climate change and achieve sustainable development.
