
The LU advances globally in the QS Ranking for the year 2024 and maintains local distinction
The ranking of the Lebanese University at the global level has increased according to the QS report for the year 2024, to rank 577 worldwide, after ranking 601-650 in 2023.
Among seven Lebanese universities evaluated in the 2024 QS World Ranking, the Lebanese University ranked first locally at the level of the professional reputation, and second locally at the level of academic reputation.
The QS report pointed to the importance of a group of majors covered by the faculties and institutes of the Lebanese University, most notably medical, natural, engineering, technological, social, management sciences, arts and human sciences.
The results of the newly issued QS report were based on a number of criteria, remarkably the professional reputation, academic reputation, and the percentage of foreign students and professors.
The Lebanese University was ranked among the first hundred international universities (51-100) and the first locally in the major of Petroleum Engineering, and among the first hundred and fifty international universities (101-150) and the first locally in the majors of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences, based on the QS report on the major level for the year 2023.
