Student Sandra Sukkar won the World Martial Arts Championship
Sandra Sukkar, a student of the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture (Branch 3), was crowned the World Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Champion at the tournament held in Amsterdam on March 27, 2022.
Passionate about sports since her childhood, Sandra said: “I have worked hard to reach this stage and I am very proud to carry the flag of my country, especially in the current circumstances Lebanon is going through. I chose to study at the Lebanese University because of the quality of its degrees and its worldwide reputation in the job market. Also, I would like to thank the professors for their humanitarian initiative that allowed me to participate in the tournament”.
