Student Zahra Yassine ranks 3rd in the “Arab Student Starpack 2021” competition

Student Zahra Yassine from the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture won the third prize in the “Arab Student Starpack 2021” packaging competition, in its 5th edition, organized online by the Lebanese Center for Packaging (Liban Pack) in cooperation with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).

Under the supervision of Dr. Danielle Kattar, Zahra (M1 in Advertising Arts & Visual Communication) presented a smart packaging project entitled “Helbawi Bros' Rice Tote Bag” based on renovating the structural and visual aspects of rice bags and transforming them into ready-to-use shopping bags, based on the motto “what plastic bags pollute, rice bags will save”.

It is noteworthy that this competition is accredited by the World Packaging Organization (WPO), and the winners are automatically qualified to participate in the World Packaging Competition organized by WPO, in an opportunity to showcase their projects at an international level.
