The Faculty of Economics & Business Administration seeks to provide theoretical and applied programs with the aim of preparing highly qualified graduates in the fields of economics, finance, business and administration to meet the needs of the local and global market, serve the community, and encourage scientific, knowledge and entrepreneurial research.

Major description

This program provides students with advanced experience in business computing, and aims to graduate specialists in management information systems (MIS) who are able to:

  1. Design, implement and manage computer databases;
  2. Develop, manage, maintain and use network information systems;
  3. Process and analyze enterprise-related data;
  4. Create applications and perform web development;
  5. Provide customer support during IT implementation and utilization;
  6. Work with various administrative levels and provide them with the best IT tools to facilitate decision making and value creation.

 

First year provided in all branches

Second year provided in Branches 1, 2 and 3

Requirements

General conditions + special conditions:

 

First: Admission to the first year

  • Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Management from the Lebanese University - Faculty of Economics & Business Administration;
  • Students of the following majors (management, marketing, management informatics, finance, accounting) who have completed the bachelor’s degree, are allowed to change to management or marketing in M1, provided they pass the CEE. They are also allowed later to apply exclusively to professional M2, and they are not allowed to apply for the research master;
  • Succeeding in the Competitive Entrance Exam (CEE) for students holding a Bachelor's degree in Computer Management from other universities.

 

Second: Admission to the second year

  • Students of the Faculty of Economics & Business Administration who succeed in their M1 (among the first 35%) are exempt from the CEE;
  • Remaining students from inside or outside the faculty within the aforementioned specialization are subject to a CEE or conditions determined annually by the Faculty Council.
