Scientific Qualifications

  • PhD in Architecture & Urban Planning the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Spain in 1993;
  • Master in Social Psychology from Complutense University of Madrid, Spain in 1992;
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Architecture from the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture at the Lebanese University in 1989;
  • Bachelor in Clinical Psychology from the Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences at the Lebanese University in 1988.

Professional Career

  • Lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture (Branch 1) in 1994 and holder of the rank of Professor in 2017;
  • Director of the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture (Branch 1) since 2021;
  • Head of the Architecture Department at the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture (Branch 1) between 2015-2019 and 2001-2003;
  • Coordinator of the Central Scientific Committee supervising the curricula content of the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture since 2018;
  • Member of the Scientific Council at the Doctoral School of Literature, Humanities & Social Sciences of the Lebanese University since 2018;
  • Coordinator of joint activities between the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture and the Order of Engineers & Architects - Beirut between 2015-2019;
  • Head of the Urban Planning Department at the Ministry of Public Works and Transport - Lebanon between 1998-2000;
  • Member of the Studies Evaluation Committee/Department of Roads & Buildings in the Ministry of Public Works & Transport between 1995-2000;
  • Member of the National Housing Committee at the Ministry of Public Works & Transport - Lebanon in 1996;
  • Member of the Order of Engineers & Architects - Beirut since 1990;
  • Fellow of the British Royal Society of Arts (FRSA) since 2019;
  • Member of the Excellence Award jury (Tamayouz) since 2019;
  • Awarded a number of certificates in NLP, vocal performance skills and human capacity building;
  • Author of research papers, scientific papers and studies published on the criteria of criticism of classical architecture, contemporary architectural trends, and the role of landscapes in preserving memory, urban organization, and developing historical cities while preserving their identity.
