
Georges Kiwan of the Faculty of Engineering - Branch 2 excels in the LSES scholarship competition
Georges Kiwan (class of 2024), a graduate of the Faculty of Engineering - Branch 2, won third place in the scholarship competition for final year projects organized by the Lebanese Solar Energy Society (LSES).
This event, sponsored by the Order of Engineers and Architects - Beirut, aims to support innovation in the field of renewable energy.
George Kiwan entered the competition with a project focused on the simulation and implementation of a maximum power point tracking system for solar energy using artificial intelligence techniques (MPPT), under the supervision of the director of Branch 2, Dr. Karine Kassis.
This graduate of the Lebanese University, specializing in electrical engineering, talks about the faculty and notes that he learned all basics of engineering science there and, above all, independence.
He also emphasizes that if he decides to pursue higher education in the field of engineering, he will choose the Lebanese University again.
