  • PhD in Arabic Language & Literature from Cairo University in 1972;
  • Master in Arabic Language & Literature from Cairo University in 1966;
  • Bachelor in Arabic Language & Literature from Cairo University in 1961.

Professional Career

  • Lecturer at the Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences in 1973;
  • Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy between 2000-2002;
  • Director of the Faculty of Pedagogy (Branch 2) between 1996-1999;
  • Head of the Department of Languages & Literature at the Faculty of Pedagogy between 1992-1994;
  • Former lecturer at the American University of Beirut (AUB) and the Arab Open University (AOU) and Head of the Arabic Language Department in a number of secondary schools in Lebanon;
  • Member of the Council of the Lebanese University between 1994-1995;
  • Author of published literature and research on literature, education, culture, and linguistic dictionaries;
  • Participated in a number of intellectual, academic and educational conferences and meetings in Lebanon and around the world;

 

Passed away on 22 May 2023.
