Born in Dbayeh, in 1947

 

Scientific Qualifications

  • PhD in Modern Lebanese History from the Lebanese University, in 1990.
  • PhD in Modern Lebanese History from Saint Joseph University in Beirut, in 1982.
  • Master's degree in Modern Lebanese History from the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences (FLHS), Lebanese University, in 1979.
  • Bachelor's degree in history from the FLHS, in 1974.

Professional Career

  • Head of the History Department at the FLHS - Branch 2 for several years.
  • Promoted to the rank of Professor, in 2000.
  • Director of theses and dissertations at the Lebanese University, the Holy Spirit University Kaslik and the Islamic University - Khaldeh.
  • Member of the Lebanese University Students' Union and delegate of the FLHS students to the Lebanese University Council, between 1973 and 1974.
  • Founding member of the Lebanese Historical Society, Fanar.
  • Author of several academic and school textbooks, studies and published articles.
