The Faculty of Law, Political & Administrative Sciences provides the public and private sectors in Lebanon with legal and administrative human resources. The Faculty concludes scientific exchange agreements with European and Arab universities and internal agreements with renowned organizations such as the Lebanese Army.

Research Center

Description

The Lebanese Center for Legal, Political & Administrative Studies was established at the Faculty of Law, Political & Administrative Sciences in 1998. It aims to:

  • Conduct Lebanese, legal, administrative, and political studies and put them at the service of the university and the faculty in particular, and institutions and individuals outside the university in general.
  • Meet the research needs of the faculty, individuals, and institutions outside the university.
  • Conduct multidisciplinary and comparative studies, as well as theoretical and applied research.
  • Document studies, research, information, and data using scientific methods and techniques that facilitate their storage on computers, retrieval for use, and dissemination.

 

The Center's tasks also include:

  • Conducting scientific and practical studies and research to achieve its objectives, especially those related to legal, administrative, and political issues.
  • Organizing conferences, seminars, and workshops within its area of expertise.
  • Representing the university at conferences, seminars, and scientific workshops related to legal, administrative, and political sciences.
  • Establishing and managing a database of local, regional, and international legal, administrative, and political data (organized by decision of the Scientific Committee based on a proposal by the Center's Director).
