Scientific Qualifications

  • PhD in Media & Communication Sciences from the University of Bordeaux, France in 1988.
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Media & Communication Sciences from the University of Bordeaux, France in 1985.
  • BA in Journalism from the Faculty of Information at the Lebanese University in 1983.
  • Diploma in Teaching French from the Teachers' House in Nabatieh in 1974.

Professional Career

  • Lecturer at the Faculty of Information of the Lebanese University in 1988 and Director of Branch 1 between 1996-2002.
  • Promoted to the rank of Professor in 2000.
  • Media advisor to the Lebanese University Presidency for several years.
  • Member of the Continuous Evaluation Committees at the Lebanese University Presidency.
  • Member of European arbitration committees specializing in media sciences.
  • Coordinator of Postgraduate Studies for Media, Communication & Information Sciences at the Doctoral School of Literature, Humanities & Social Sciences of the Lebanese University for several years.
  • Member of the scientific advisory board for a group of peer-reviewed scientific journals, newspapers and periodicals.
  • Member of the National Committee for the Best Investigative Reporting Award, in collaboration with the International Federation of Journalists.
  • Visiting professor at several French universities.
  • Author of books, studies, publications and research in the fields of media, administration, information, anti-corruption, and national dialogue.
  • Participated in many local and international conferences, workshops and research seminars.
