Scientific Qualifications

  • PhD in English/Applied Linguistics from Adam Moskowitz University in Poznan/Poland in 2000.
  • Master in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from the American University of Beirut in 1992.
  • Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from the American University of Beirut in 1987.
  • Bachelor Teaching Degree in English from the Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences at the Lebanese University in 1984.

Professional Career

  • Lecturer at the Faculty of Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences of the Lebanese University in 2001 and obtained the rank of Professor in 2017.
  • Director of the Center of Language Sciences and Communication of the Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences between 2021-2025.
  • Head of the Department of English Language at the Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences (Branch 5) at the Lebanese University between 2016 and 2021.
  • Head of the research team for the English language at the Doctoral School of Literature, Humanities & Social Sciences between 2017 and 2020.
  • Regional Coordinator of the English Language in the Office of Language Coordination at the Lebanese University between 2014 and 2016.
  • Former lecturer at the American University of Beirut (AUB), the Lebanese American University (LAU), University of Balamand, American University of Science & Technology (AUST) and Ajman University of Science & Technology in the United Arab Emirates.
  • Translator professor in the office of Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan in the United Arab Emirates between 1997 and 2000.
  • Author of scientific research papers published globally.
