Article 1
Baabda Public Hospital, the subject of Council of Ministers decision No. 14 of 7 September 1983, is merged with Baabda Government Hospital.
Article 2
The contract of agreement annexed to the present decree between the Minister of Public Health and Social Affairs and the Lebanese University is ratified, with a view to attaching the Baabda Government Hospital and the Beirut (Bir Hassan) Government Hospital to the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the Lebanese University in order to meet its teaching needs.
Article 3
On a temporary basis and during a transitional period, the public institution managing the public hospitals in the governorate of Mount Lebanon may use the funds allocated to it in the governorate of Mount Lebanon to cover expenses related to the appointment of employees, contractors, procedures, equipment, medical supplies, administrative work, organizations and studies necessary to help manage its affairs and those of the hospitals in Mount Lebanon, and to achieve the educational objectives of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the Lebanese University, including the contribution to cover expenses arising from the accreditation of the following private hospitals: Sahel, Makassed, Barbir and Al Zahraa as an alternative to the Bir Hassan University Medical Center in a transitional phase until its construction. The agreement is concluded in accordance with specific terms and conditions determined by the Minister of Health and Social Affairs by decision of the latter.
Article 4
This decree will be submitted to the Council of Ministers at its first session.
Article 5
The present decree will be published and communicated wherever necessary.
