The FPH celebrates the graduation of a new batch of students

The Faculty of Public Health was established under Decree No. 4418 dated 20 October 1981, and teaching began in the Department of Nursing Sciences in Beirut and Tripoli branches during the academic year 1981-1982. The curricula gradually developed to include various health fields and the faculty expanded geographically in six branches covering several regions.

In 2022, the French High Council for the Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (HCERES) granted the Faculty of Public Health academic accreditation for a period of five years starting in 2022.

The accreditation covered the following degree programs:

- Specialized Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy

- Specialized Bachelor's Degree in Medical & Social Work

- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Sciences

- Research Master's Degree in Life and Health Sciences/Host-Pathogen Interaction

The HCERES based its decision on the clarity of educational objectives and their management through the educational system and local and international partnerships established by the faculty, in addition to professional and research integration mechanisms through training units and research projects.
