Programs and exams

 

Article 1 

 

The Faculty of Law, Political & Administrative Sciences at the Lebanese University consists of the following educational departments:

- Department of Legal Sciences

- Department of Political Sciences

- Department of Economics

- Center for Criminal Sciences

- Center for Comparative Legal Studies

 

Article 2

 

1. The duration of study in each of the first three departments is four years, leading to granting the following degrees:

- Bachelor’s degree in law

- Bachelor’s degree in political sciences

- Bachelor’s degree in economics

2. The departments of Law and Political Sciences grant two higher specialization degrees (i.e., postgraduate diplomas) and a State PhD in Law and a State PhD in Political Sciences, in accordance with the provisions set forth in this Law.

3. A higher specialization certificate and a State PhD in Economics may be established in accordance with a regulation to be issued later.

 

Article 3

A special regulation shall be established for each of the Center for Criminal Sciences and the Center for Comparative Legal Studies.
