The FPH celebrates the graduation of a new batch of students
The Faculty of Public Health celebrated the graduation of a new class of students (class of 2024–2025) at a ceremony attended by Minister of Public Health, Dr. Rakan Nasreddine, President Bassam Badran, Dean of the Faculty of Public Health Dr. Elie Hadchiti, Director of Office of Inspection & Administrative Development, Dr. Wassim Rammal, President of the Syndicate of Hospitals, Dr. Pierre Yared, heads of health professions in Lebanon, President of the Executive Committee of the League of Full-Time Professors at the Lebanese University Dr. Yahya Al-Rabih, in addition to security and religious figures, a number of deans, directors, professors, employees, and the families of the graduates.
After the opening, a speech was given on behalf of the graduates, followed by a speech by Dean Hadchiti, who emphasized that the Faculty of Public Health has been and continues to be a key source of health professionals in Lebanon.
President Badran pointed out that the Faculty of Public Health has proven its leadership at the local and international levels and continues to provide the health sector with highly qualified professionals. It is part of the Lebanese University, which has been ranked among the best universities in the world, ranking 515th globally in the QS 2026, steadily advancing while maintaining a distinguished presence in the academic reputation and professional reputation indicators.
President Badran emphasized that this progress is not just a number, but a testament to the quality of education and the effectiveness of the partnerships that the university has forged locally and internationally. He pointed out that the Faculty of Public Health was at the heart of this achievement and is a vital arm of the university in serving the community through its specialized programs across the country and the services of its care centers and university clinics.
Minister Nasreddine emphasized that the Lebanese University remains a national institution that brings together all Lebanese people. He pointed out that the Ministry of Public Health considers the Lebanese University a strategic partner in the development of the health sector and is committed to strengthening this cooperation and providing everything necessary to ensure a supportive environment for scientific research and the development of competencies that form the backbone of a healthy society.
