The General Labor Union praises LU role and the appointment of Dr. Rachidi
The General Labor Union affirmed that it is following with great interest the progress of the Lebanese University and the achievements made in recent years, especially those related to the significant advancement in global rankings at the academic and professional levels.
In a statement, the Union congratulated the Lebanese University's presidency, professors, staff, students, and graduates for their high academic standards and their active presence in various professional, social, and economic sectors, both domestically and internationally. The Union also welcomed the recent appointment of Dr. Walid Rachidi, a Lebanese University graduate, as Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Grenoble in France.
The Union called on the state to provide more support and care for this national endeavor by securing financial and human resources and preserving its academic independence. It also called on national forces to rally around the Lebanese University as the cornerstone for building a better future and highlighting Lebanon's bright image in the world.
The General Labor Union praised the leading role of President Bassam Badran who led this national institution with wisdom and patience in the most difficult circumstances and managed to strengthen its global, professional, and research presence alongside the most prestigious international universities.
