First: Make the following preparations for the student council elections, as follows:
1- Prepare the lists of Lebanese students registered each year who are eligible to participate in the electoral process and publish them on notice boards and websites on Monday, 23 February 2026.
2- A three-day grace period shall be given to correct any errors in the deletion lists, if any.
3- Applications for nomination of lists shall be accepted by the secretariat of the electoral district from Monday, 23 February 2026, until Monday, 9 March 2026, during official working hours.
Note: First-year students who wish to run for office or vote in open faculties that do not adopt an entrance exam system are required to pass the midterm or final exam with a grade equivalent to nine credits if no midterm exam is held for the first semester. This procedure does not apply to other academic years.
4- The dean or director (according to the electoral district) shall announce the list of accepted candidates on Monday, 16 March 2026.
Second: The number of delegates for the electoral district shall be determined on the basis of one delegate per 100 students on a proportional basis, and fractions shall not be counted.
Third: The election process in the electoral districts shall be supervised by a committee composed of the faculty council chaired by the dean or a committee composed of the branch council chaired by the branch director, to which shall be added one delegate from each list.
Fourth: Each list shall be entitled to appoint two delegates to the ballot box.
Fifth: Any losing candidate has the right to appeal the election results within three days of the date of the announcement of the results before the Appeals Committee formed by the University Council.
Sixth: Elections for representatives of all electoral districts shall be held on Friday, 27 March 2026, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Seventh: Applications for membership of branch and faculty councils shall be submitted from Monday, 30 March 2026, until Thursday, 16 April 2026, to the secretariat of the electoral district during official working hours.
Eighth: The election of branch council members (one member per electoral unit) shall take place on Monday, 20 April 2026. The election process shall be supervised by the dean or director and the secretary.
Ninth: The election of faculty council members (two members for each faculty or institute) shall take place on Monday, 27 April 2026. The election process shall be supervised by the dean or director and the secretary.
Tenth: Applications for candidacy for the Executive Committee shall be submitted to the General Secretariat at the Central Administration during the period between 15-22 April 2026, inclusive, during official working hours.
Eleventh: The final list of candidates for the Executive Committee shall be announced on Friday, 24 April 2026.
Twelfth: The election of the Union's Executive Committee (including the president) and four members representing the Union within the University Council shall take place on Monday, 4 May 2026. The election process shall be supervised by a committee formed in accordance with Article 35 of the Union's internal regulations.
