Scientific Qualifications

PhD in Translation Studies from the University of Caen, France in 2005.
Master "Research in Cultural Identities & Intercultural Communication" from the University of Caen in France in 2000.
Research Master in Translation from the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik in 1999.
Bachelor in Translation from the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik in 1997.

Professional Career

Lecturer at the Center for Languages & Translation (CLT) of the Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences (FLHS) at the Lebanese University in 2005.
Director of the CLT between 2018-2021.
Head of the Translation Department at the CLT between 2008-2015.
Member of the committee for acceptance of master theses and PhD dissertations projects on translation at the FLHS and the Doctoral School of Literature, Humanities & Social Sciences.
Member of the committee for evaluation of translation programs in private universities affiliated to the Higher Council for Higher Education in the Lebanese Ministry of Education.
Member of the arbitration committee at the Civil Service Council and Parliament to select translators for the public administration in Lebanon in 2012.
Headed the Department of Translation at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik between 2005-2008.
Translator and Language Consultant in a number of local and international institutions and organizations.
Translator at the Humanities Research Center at the University of Caen between 1997-1998.
Author of published papers on adaptive translation, sociology of linguistics, and general translation methodology.
