With the start of the academic year 2025-2026, and in order to ensure the smooth running of all units, branches, and centers of the Lebanese University, deans and directors are requested to emphasize compliance with the laws and regulations in force at the University and to apply them strictly, in order to ensure the academic and administrative work system at the University, in accordance with the following procedures:
1- Commitment not to assign any hourly teaching courses or seminars before obtaining the approval of the University Presidency.
2- The teaching hours assigned to full-time and contract faculty members must not be less than the legal quota specified for each academic rank, with the possibility of assigning additional teaching hours above the legal minimum.
3- Teaching quotas for full-time and part-time faculty members shall be distributed over both semesters and shall not be limited to one semester.
4- Full compliance with the scheduled lecture times, and no tardiness or early departure before the end of the class period.
5- Verification of faculty members' compliance with the minimum number of required attendance days.
6- Refrain from approving branching except in cases of necessity and based on proven academic justifications and after obtaining the approval of the unit and university councils.
7- Commit to submitting draft decisions of the examination committees and monitoring exams to the central administration before the scheduled date of the exams.
8- Obtain the prior approval of the university president for activities approved by the unit councils.
9- Follow up with faculty members assigned to evaluate research and classify doctoral theses and request that they adhere to the specified deadlines.
10- Work to identify the required needs and submit them to the university presidency before the end of November to be included in the 2026 budget, provided that these needs are secured through public tenders or price offers and that purchase permits are not resorted to except when necessary.
11- No funds shall be collected from any party for any purpose contrary to the laws and regulations in force at the university.
12- Follow up on student registration matters and work to complete their transactions quickly, in a manner that preserves the dignity of the student and enhances the reputation of the university.
13- Members of the teaching staff must submit exam questions and correct tests within the specified deadlines and issue the results in the relevant departments.
14- Maintain the purely academic nature of the campus and refrain from any political manifestations or slogans.
