Article 1
To join one of the departments of the Center for Research of the Institute of Social Sciences, the applicant shall be a member of the teaching staff. The decision to join is taken by the University Council on the advice of the Institute Council.
Article 2
Work carried out by the Research Centre is considered as part of the teaching quota, provided that it does not exceed 100 hours per year for the Centre Director, 75 hours per year for the Department Head and 50 hours per year for other members of the teaching staff.
Article 3
The general strategy of the Research Centre is determined by a governing body made up of the Dean of the Institute (Chairman), the Centre Director and the Heads of Department (members).
Article 4
The Head of Department shall:
1. Supervise the work of researchers affiliated with his or her department;
2. Organize seminars, conferences and workshops in the field of his department;
3. Seek to strengthen the means of cooperation between the Center and institutions concerned with social research and social issues from the point of view of the department whose work he/she directs.
Article 5
1. The period of membership of the Research Center of the Institute of Social Sciences for the director of the center is three years, renewable once, for the head of department two academic years, renewable once, and for the other members of the teaching staff one academic year, renewable once.
2.Re-joining is possible after a period of two years from the previous membership.
Article 6
Membership of one of the Research Center's departments is based on a research plan submitted by the interested party and approved by the Dean after consultation with the Center Director and the head of the department concerned.
Article 7
The Center Director monitors the work of teachers enrolled at the Research Center and draws up a detailed report in June, which he submits to the Dean with appropriate suggestions.
Article 8
At the end of the period allotted to him/her, the member of the Research Centre draws up a report on his/her work and submits it to the Dean, and gives the Center's administration a copy of the research he/she has carried out. The Center reserves the right to publish this research at a later date.
