The Faculty of Technology was established in 1996 through a unique partnership between the Lebanese University, the Hariri Foundation and the French government, which added thereto a societal and international dimension and a strong relationship with the production sectors, and facilitated the involvement of its graduates in the labor markets and the pursuit of those who wish to complete their studies in France or in the LU Faculty of Engineering without having to pass an entrance exam.

Our faculty works on building a successful, open-minded, persevering and creative persons capable of life-learning, by supporting them with skills and knowledge and granting them certificates qualifying them to enter the fields of public service and working life. Professor Woodrow Wilson once said: “Every person who graduates from university should be serving his nation and familiar with his era”.

The Faculty of Technology includes specializations compatible with the needs of the local and international labor market, which helps graduates by increasing job opportunities in the production sectors that they have seen in classes and labs equipped with advanced materials, and through field visits and trainings. In addition, the great experience of the teaching and administrative staff, the continuous communication with the work and production sectors, and the academic cooperation with French universities, was positively reflected in the quality of education and the continuous update of the curricula and systems.

Not to forget research, our Faculty organizes specialized seminars and scientific conferences dealing with the latest contemporary technologies with the participation of international researchers known for their competence and expertise. We believe that scientific research should be in the service of humanity, should contribute to strengthening the relationship between the university and the labor sectors and create new economies based on knowledge and technology.

In conclusion, we would like to thank all those who contributed and still contribute to the success of the Faculty of Technology, and we wish continuous progress and development to the University that always meets the aspirations of its students and is the pride of its graduates.
