
The Faculty of Medical Sciences celebrated the graduation of its students
Under the patronage and presence of the President of the Lebanese University, Professor Fouad Ayoub, the Faculty of Medical Sciences celebrated the graduation of its students, during a ceremony organized on 28 July 2021 in the conference hall of Rafik Hariri University Compound - Hadath.
The graduation ceremony was attended by Brigadier Eng. Richard Malek, representing the Commander-in-chief of the Lebanese Armed Forces, General Joseph Aoun, Lieutenant-Colonel Chadi Hanna, representing the General Director of General Security, Major General Abbas Ibrahim, Major General Abbas Ibrahim, Dr. Antoine Romanos, representing the Minister of Public Health, Dr. Hamad Hassan, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Customs Brigadier General Asaad Tufayli, member of the State Shura Council, Judge Dr. Walid Jaber, Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, Professor Youssef Fares, in addition to a number of deans, branch directors, and a group of professors, staff and student families.
The graduates’ speech was delivered by Dr. Yaacoub Chahine on his behalf and on behalf of his colleagues offering sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed to their reaching these honorable levels.
Dean Youssef Fares recommended the graduate doctors to be loyal to their country, society and patients and pursue their educational and cognitive achievement.
Professor Ayoub indicated that after more than 35 years of its establishment, the Faculty of Medical Sciences remains the dream of the outstanding Lebanese youth, and a leading scientific institution that graduated the best doctors in Lebanon and the world. He addressed the graduates thanking them for volunteering on the front lines to confront Covid-19 in Lebanon, despite their prior knowledge of the challenges and risks.
Professor Ayoub indicated that the Faculty of Medical Sciences gained its reputation and prestigious scientific status thanks to the efforts of its professors, the excellence of its students, and its keenness to communicate with its graduates everywhere. He added that the faculty will spare no effort to constantly develop its programs, follow up on the latest research and medical studies, participate and host scientific conferences.
President Ayoub expressed his pride in the graduates and their abilities, and his confidence that they will be loyal ambassadors for their faculty and university, and will be among the contributors to the development of society while filling the shortage in the medical field after the circumstances have forced many of their colleagues to leave the country.
Finally, after taking the Hippocratic Oath, the degrees were distributed to the graduates.
