The FFAA - Branch 4 participates in “Healing South Lebanon” Architecture competition

The Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture – Branch 4 participated in the national architectural competition within the Lebanese pavilion at the Venice Biennale 2025.

The students (Croover Hayek, Jad Ghannam, Haya Alloush, and Razan Kadi) presented a project entitled "SANAD - A Manifest of Complete Sustainability", under the supervision of Dr. Khaled Abou Taam and Engineer Rita Haidarieh, and with the support of Branch Director Dr. Zaher Abed Al-Khalek and Head of the Architecture Department Dr. Claud Abi Habib.

The project embodies Immovable Living, a sustainable and modular model designed to support the rapid and dignified return of displaced families from southern Lebanon. The project reimagines reconstruction as an act of healing—a way to restore people, land, and memory through architecture.

This participation reflects the faculty's commitment to promoting creativity, sustainability, and social responsibility in architectural science.
