Launch of student clubs at the FFAA - Branch 3

Dr. Issam Obeid (Director of the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture - Branch 3):

"21 clubs specializing in various fields such as art, the environment, human rights, society, human resource development, technology, AI, animation, etc. were launched at the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture - Branch 3, to give students the opportunity to express their skills and creativity so that the work of these clubs complements the courses they take and gives a high-end image of the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture“.

Dr. Adel Al-Hallaq (former Director of the Faculty of Engineering - Branch 1):

"The 20 clubs we launched today, with 600 students, are not the first of their kind at the Faculty of Engineering. There are other active clubs that are still operating and have created a very good atmosphere within the faculty. We are trying to make this happen throughout the Lebanese University, God willing, so that there will be clubs that can bring students together in general."

Student testimonials

“I hope it will be effective at the university level and raise its academic standards. I also hope it will be effective in Tripoli, the city where we have our Branch 3, and that we will be able to carry out projects and submit proposals to the municipalities or responsible institutions in order to improve the city and make a real impact on society”.

“The sports club will be divided into sections, and there will be a large community for sports. There will be a sports group for each type: basketball, football, horseback riding, volleyball, etc. There will be many sports that you suggest, and you are the ones who participate in them according to how much you like each sport.”

“Honestly, during this discussion about clubs, I found that there is no club that focuses on psychological issues, so I suggested a club. We still didn't choose the right name, but it will deal with everything related to art therapy and life skills that students can benefit from in their lives.”

“I am the president of the dance club in expressive movement. I created this club because I have been dancing for 15 years, and I want to pass on my experience to the members of my club. I hope to shed more light on dance in our Arab community”.

"I am Sara Al-Rifai, president of the Cultural Heritage Club. I wanted to start this club to highlight Lebanese heritage, because most young people today are far from this topic. There will be many wonderful activities in this club about Lebanese heritage, such as trips. We will celebrate Independence Day in a very special way, and there will be a website for this club where we will post all short videos and major heritage sites in Lebanon to encourage local tourism and deepen their attachment to Lebanese heritage”.

"Elissar Abdelrahman, second-year graphic design student and president of the Art Cinema & Video Club. This club is very important in our faculty because it allows students to learn how color composition, lighting, and angles can express certain feelings or ideas. This develops students' visual and creative senses and allows them to see art from a broader perspective, combining image, sound, and movement”.

“I am Ruaa Hallak, president of the Chess & Board Games Club. The club aims to create a university environment that combines strategic thinking, a spirit of competition, and self-development. Our vision is for the club to be a space where students learn how to plan, analyze, and face challenges with a calm and logical mind”.
