The Faculty of Dental Medicine seeks to train highly qualified specialist doctors who are able to provide treatment to patients in various fields of oral medicine and surgery, to raise awareness of the importance of oral health and to support scientific research. Within the relationship with the community, the Faculty of Dental Medicine includes clinics and laboratories that provide treatment services to citizens at nominal prices.
The Faculty of Dental Medicine at the Lebanese University offers a master's program in Orthodontics (3 years), combining clinical training with basic sciences such as oral biology, biomechanics, and dental materials.
The program focuses on wire bending exercises, practice models, and treatment planning for different ages, including cases involving maxillofacial surgery.
Residents gain skills in fixed, removable, and functional appliances, with an emphasis on craniofacial growth and development.
The program also includes evidence-based education, scientific seminars, and advanced research, and residents are encouraged to use technology and participate in case discussions.
Graduation from this program requires passing a comprehensive exam and presenting clinical cases and a research thesis in accordance with international standards.
