Research Master in Pharmacology and Toxicology

The Faculty of Pharmacy provides graduates with an experienced knowledge of medicinal and therapeutic properties of drugs and drug formulations for the treatment of diseases. The Faculty grants a Doctorate Degree in practicing pharmacy and a professional and research master’s degrees in various pharmaceutical specializations.

Research Master

Description

This program includes scientific courses and research work with a duration of no less than two years, while the second semester of the second year focuses on preparing and carrying out research work in a time period of not less than four months.

 

At the end of the training, students are required to submit a thesis and discuss it according to the instructions stated in the Faculty Thesis Guide.

The completion of this program provides students with the necessary foundations and expertise in:

  1. Hypothesis formulation and research design
  2. Analysis, presentation and discussion of the results
  3. Development of communication skills and scientific assessment

Requirements

General + special conditions:

  • Holding a degree in Pharmacy from the Lebanese University with an average of at least 14/20;

or

  • Holding a degree in Pharmacy from another university with an average of at least 16/20 provided that the theoretical courses are made equivalent to Y1 courses of this Master determined by the Faculty of Pharmacy;

or

  • Holding a degree in General Medicine from the Lebanese University with an average of at least 14/20;

or

  • First year master’s degree in one of the following specializations, provided that the course “Pharmacology” is among the courses taught: First year Master in Biochemistry, First year Master in Biology, First year Master in Public Health
  • Oral interview
