The Center for Languages & Translation wins CIUTI membership
The Center for Languages & Translation of the Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences won the membership of the International Standing Conference of University Institutes of Translators and Interpreters (CIUTI), which includes the 50 most translation-renowned universities around the world.
The members of the General Assembly at the international conference voted unanimously to accept the membership of the Center based on its reputation and the high academic and research standards adopted.
At the end of 2018, the Center presented a detailed report for the International Conference on the approved curricula, research, preparations, activities, conferences, international agreements and relations with the local and international labor market. In February 2020, the Center received two experts delegated from CIUTI on a three-day field visit that ended with a positive report on the Center and acceptance of the membership classified as accreditation.
The Center for Languages & Translation is represented at CIUTI by its Director, Dr. Gisèle Riachi, and the former Head of Translation Department, Dr. Georgette Farchakh.
