Scientific Qualifications

  • PhD in Epidemiology & Public Health from the University of Bordeaux, France, in 2002;
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health from the Faculty of Public Health of the Lebanese University in 1998;
  • PhD in Pharmacy from the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Lebanese University in 1995;
  • Bachelor in Pharmacy from the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Lebanese University in 1995.

Professional Career

  • Lecturer at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Lebanese University in 1998 and assigned as Dean between 2013 and 2014;
  • Head of the Research Department at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Lebanese University since 2020;
  • Coordinator of the Quality & Academic Accreditation Committee at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Lebanese University since 2019;
  • Head of the Clinical & Epidemiological Research Team at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Lebanese University between 2010 and 2014;
  • Coordinator of the Master in Epidemiology & Vital Statistics at the Doctoral School of Science & Technology of the Lebanese University between 2020 and 2012;
  • Member of the Research & Development Office of the Presidency of the Lebanese University since 2020;
  • Member of the Central Committee for Quality & Academic Accreditation at the Lebanese University since 2013;
  • Founder and Director of the Independent Research Group (INSPECT-LB) since 2018;
  • Member of a number of national committees affiliated with the Ministries of Public Health, Education & Higher Education and Order of Pharmacist of Lebanon (MOPH, MEHE, OPL);
  • Member of a number of international committees of the World Health Organization (WHO), the International Energy Agency (IEA) and the Association of French Language Writers (ADELF);
  • Author of more than 400 published research in international peer-reviewed journals on medical epidemiology, clinical pharmacology and public health.
