  • Master in Library & Information Studies from University College London (UCL) in 1988;
  • BA in Media & Documentation from the Faculty of Information at the Lebanese University in 1985.

Professional Career

  • Lecturer at the Faculty of Information in 1996 and holder of the rank of Professor in 2008;
  • Director of the Faculty of Information (Branch 1) between 2002-2007 and 2018-2021;
  • Head of the Department of Information Management at the Faculty of Information (Branch 1) between 2009-2011;
  • Member of the Scientific Council at the Doctoral School of Literature, Humanities & Social Sciences / Lebanese University since 2019;
  • Head of the Research Team for Media & Communication Sciences at the Doctoral School of Literature, Humanities & Social Sciences between 2017-2018;
  • Teaching Staff Delegate of the Faculty of Information at the university council between 2017-2018;
  • Media Monitoring Expert at the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in 2018;
  • Director of Training at the Institute of Strategic Research/Iraqi Studies) in Beirut, and responsible for managing and operating training programs and workshops in the press, radio, television and digital media between 2008-2011;
  • Director of Libraries at Qatar University between 2012-2017;
  • Member of the Supervisory Board of the Lebanese Parliamentary Elections / Head of the Media Committee in 2009;
  • Head of the information center of Al-Hayat newspaper in London between 1988-1999 and in Beirut between 1999-2002;
  • Author of publications and research papers on media, information management and archiving systems.
