The Department of Arts & Archaeology at the Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences organized a specialized scientific seminar entitled: "Integration between Topographic Techniques and 3D Documentation in the Study of Archaeological Sites: Tyre Region as a Case Study."

The seminar was presented by Dr. Youssef Choumar, Professor of Arts & Archaeology at the Lebanese University and Engineer at the Directorate General of Antiquities, who discussed archaeological documentation techniques using drones and laser scanners, as well as the application of topographic techniques in documentation processes.

He presented examples of documentation work he had carried out in the Roman cemetery in Tyre and at the sites of the Byzantine church and the Church of the Savior, as well as the results of an aerial survey of underwater archaeological remains along the Tyre seafront.
