Article 1

A branch for teaching in French shall be established at the Lebanese University (Faculty of Law, Political & Administrative Sciences) in cooperation with Francophone universities.

Article 2

The branch shall be managed by a director whose appointment and powers shall be subject to the same rules and conditions that apply to all other university branch directors.

Article 3

The branch council shall consist of:

Lebanese members representing the academic departments of the branch, elected by the teaching staff of each department and whose number shall be determined by a decision of the University Council.
Two members from outside the Lebanese University, chosen by the universities and institutions that provide academic support to the branch to represent them in the council, and appointed by decision of the President after consulting with the dean of the faculty.

Article 4

The academic curricula and programs and all other regulations shall be determined by decisions issued by the University Council based on the proposal of the Faculty Council based on the recommendation of the Branch Council.

Article 5

This decree shall come into force immediately upon its publication in the Official Gazette.
