Lebanese University shines at cross-country championship

The Lebanese University's sports department hosted the university cross-country championship, organized at the Rafik Hariri University Campus - Hadath, under the supervision of the Lebanese University Sports Federation and the Athletics Federation.

 

During the competitions, in which 150 runners from twelve universities participated, the Lebanese University champions managed to set the pace in the 5-kilometer race. The results are as follows:

 

Men's category

  • First place: Mohammad Zaki Monzer (Faculty of Information - Branch 1) won the title, beating 66 competitors with a time of 17:01 minutes.
  • Third place: Mohammad Tarek Saleh (Faculty of Pedagogy - Branch 1) won the bronze medal with a time of 18:02 minutes.

 

Women's category

Nour Fasad (Faculty of Engineering - Branch 1) performed well, ranking ninth out of 60 runners, finishing the race in 11:06 minutes.

 

At the end of the race, the medals were presented to the winners in the presence of administrative and sporting figures, led by the president of the University Sports Federation, Ziad Saade.

 

It should be noted that the second championship (5 km for women and 10 km for men) will determine the final ranking of the universities based on total points.
