In view of the Coronavirus outbreak in all Lebanese areas, which threatens the health security of all groups of workers at the Lebanese University,
Aiming to reduce the outbreak and prevent the transmission from people infected to people with whom there was interaction,
In order to organize the home quarantine process for infected employees or employees who had been in contact with infected persons in a transparent and uniform manner in all faculties, branches and centers of the Lebanese University, all employees are required to fully adhere to the following procedures:
First: In the event that one of the employees is Covid-19 positive, he/she shall do the following:
- Immediately notify the line department and fill out the attached form electronically and resend it together with the supporting report;
- Adhere to home quarantine for a period of two weeks from the date of diagnosis;
- After the two-week period of the quarantine, he/she shall perform the PCR test again. If the result is negative, he/she shall join the workplace. If the result is positive, he/she shall extend the request for permission to quarantine and re-test after five days without showing to work unless the result is negative.
Second: In the event that one of the employees comes into contact with a Covid-19 positive patient, he/she shall do the following:
- Immediately notify the line department and fill out the attached form electronically and resend it together with the supporting report of the person with whom the employee came into contact;
- Conduct a PCR test five days after the date of contact, while adhering during this period to home quarantine;
- If the PCR test is negative, he/she shall provide the line department with a copy thereof and resume work normally;
- In the event that the PCR test is positive, the patient shall provide the line department with a copy of the result and follow the procedures mentioned in paragraphs 2 and 3 in Clause (First).
