Scientific Qualifications
- Studied at the Jesuit Fathers' School.
- Bachelor’s degree in law from the French Law School in Beirut in 1941.
- PhD in Law from Saint Joseph University in Beirut.
Professional Career
- Appointed President of the Lebanese University between 1970 and 1976.
- Appointed Dean of the Faculty of Law, Political & Administrative Sciences between 1961 and 1970.
- Appointed Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon between 1985 and 1991.
- Elected a member of the Lebanese Parliament for Baabda district in the 2005 session.
- President of the Beirut Bar Association for four years.
- Head of the Lebanese delegation to sign the UN Charter in San Francisco.
- Author of several books, most notably in the legal field, and was a legal reference in various cases.
Passed away in 2006.
