Scientific Qualifications

  • PhD in Dental Sciences majoring in Root Canal Treatment from the Faculty of Medical Sciences – Dental Medicine Branch at the Lebanese University in 1994;
  • Degree of Dental Surgeon from the Faculty of Medical Sciences at the Lebanese University;
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Oral Biology from Saint Joseph University of Beirut;
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Endodontics & Restorative Dentistry from Saint Joseph University of Beirut.

Professional Career

  • Dean of the Faculty of Dental Medicine at the Lebanese University between 1999-2006;
  • Headed the Department of Endodontics and the Department of Basic Sciences in the Faculty of Medical Sciences/Dental Medicine Branch between 1994-1999;
  • Member of the Scientific Committee and the Self-Assessment Committee at the Faculty of Dental Medicine for several years;
  • Contributed to the establishment of an academic cooperation project between the Faculty of Dental Medicine and the Australian University of Sydney;
  • Contributed to the establishment and launch of a number of specializations at the Faculty of Dental Medicine;
  • Awarded the 2016 Government Woman of the Year (community hero award) for New South Wales, Australia;
  • Awarded the Lebanese Golden Cedar in 1992;
  • President of the Australian Lebanese Foundation at the University of Sydney;
  • Founding member of the Lebanese charity Auxilia and head of its branch in Australia;
  • Participated as lecturer in local and international scientific conferences;
  • Author of dozens of research papers published in international scientific journals.
