Scientific Qualifications

  • PhD in art sciences/theatre from the St. Petersburg State Academy of Dramatic Arts;
  • Master's degree in dramatic direction from the Belarusian Academy of Arts;
  • Certificate of training in "Quality Management", "Administrative Leadership", "Human Resources Management", "Project Management and Change Management" and "Communication and Motivation" from the National School of Administration (ENA), in 2008.

Professional career

  • Teacher-researcher at the Faculty of Pedagogy (FP) of the Lebanese University (LU), in 1998 and remained there until his transfer to the Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture (FFAA), in 2007;
  • Dean of the FBAA, since 2 January 2023;
  • Head of the Drama Education Department at the FP, between 2002 and 2004;
  • Head of the Visual and Plastic Arts Research Team at UL's Doctoral School of Humanities and Social Sciences (DSHSS), between 2019 and 2021;
  • Member of scientific committees for research evaluation at the Lebanese University and several universities;
  • Founder and director of the "Lebanese Educational Theater" troupe, between 2001 and 2012;
  • Specialist in fine arts at the Educational Research and Development Center (CRDP), between 2004 and 2008;
  • Responsible for educational television programs at the CRDP, between 2004 and 2009;
  • Chair of the Theatre Education Committee in the CRDP's General Education Curriculum Change Project, between 2007 and 2014;
  • Author of several articles published in local and Arab newspapers, magazines and periodicals, and participated in the arbitration committees of festivals in Lebanon and the Arab world;
  • Author and director of several plays, as well as documentaries for the Ministry of Culture, UNICEF and several TV channels;
  • First to have experimented the dramatization of school programs in Lebanon with a group of public and private schools in Saida / Lebanon in 2005;
  • Winner of the Playwright's Award at the Theatre Week Festival/Sultanate of Oman, in 2019;
  • Received the Arab Theatre Authority's mention, in 2011.
