- Diploma in Philosophical Studies from the University of Saint Joseph in Beirut (USJ), in 1961.
- Diploma in Archaeology from the Louvre Institute in Paris, 1961.
Professional Career
- Teacher-researcher at the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences (FLHS) of the Lebanese University (LU), in 1970.
- Director of dissertations and theses at the FLHS and of the Doctoral School of Letters and Human and Social Sciences (DSLHSS) at the LU.
- Archaeologist at the General Directorate of Antiquities of the Ministry of Culture in Lebanon.
- Head of the excavation department at the General Directorate of Antiquities of the Lebanese Ministry of Culture, between 1974 and 1985.
- Supervisor of archaeological excavations in Baalbek, Saida, Tyre and downtown Beirut, between 1976 and 1983.
- Former member of the UNESCO Committee for the Memory of the World Program.
- Head of the UNESCO delegation in Tyre - South Lebanon, in 1978.
- International expert at ORDINEX.
- Member of the Berlin Academy of Arts and Letters.
- Member of the Asian Association in Paris.
- Author of several books, studies and articles published in local and international scientific journals.
