Scientific Qualifications
- PhD in Urban Planning from the Faculty of Engineering at Moscow State University - Russia in 1989;
- Master in Building Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering at Kyiv University - Ukraine in 1984.
Professional Career
- Lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture at the Lebanese University since 1990 and holder of the degree of Professor in 2009.
- Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture at the Lebanese University between 2011-2021.
- Director of the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture (Branch 4) at the Lebanese University between 2005 and 2011.
- Secretary General of the Association of Faculties of Fine Arts in the Union of Arab Universities for several years.
- Member of the Order of Engineers and Architects - Beirut since 1985.
- Member of the General Assembly of the Arabic Language International Council.
- Author of a group of scientific researches, and supervisor of the issuance of a number of publications, including the book issued by the Order of Engineers and Architects - Beirut on the "Effects of urban sprawl on the Lebanese countryside".
- Organizer, head and participant in more than one hundred local and international conferences, seminars, and architectural and art exhibitions.
- Supervisor and rapporteur of PhD dissertations and master theses for students of the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture.
- Translator of a number of research and projects into Arabic, including the comprehensive plan for arranging Lebanese lands issued under Cabinet Decree in June 2009.
- Contributor to making urban projects for architecture students in the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture within the development programs of municipalities, official institutions and civil society organizations.
