  • HDR Diploma from the University of Western Brittany Brest - UBO, France in 2006;
  • Certificate in Administration & Scheduling of Pediatric Oral Health Services from the Aarhus University, Denmark in 1996;
  • PhD in Dental Sciences from the Lebanese University in 1994;
  • Diploma in Dental Surgery from the University of Strasbourg, France in 1983.

Professional Career

  • Lecturer at the Faculty of Medical Sciences/Dental Medicine at the Lebanese University in 1985 and holder of the rank of Professor in 2005;
  • Dean of the Faculty of Dental Medicine between 2008-2014;
  • Acting Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences in 1998;
  • Director of the Faculty of Medical Sciences/Dental Medicine (Branch 2) between 1993-1996;
  • WHO expert in oral diseases (who-oms) since 1997;
  • Director of Continuous Training Programs in the Middle East at the World Dental Federation (FDI) since 2021;
  • Head of the Dental Committee in the Civil Service Council competitions between 2010-2013;
  • Rapporteur of the International Dental Association (F.I.C.D.) in 2002;
  • Secretary General of the Association of Deans of French Speaking Faculties of Dentistry in 1999;
  • Founding member of the Association of Deans of Arab Dental Faculties in 1997;
  • Granted permission to practice dentistry in France based on a ministerial decision issued in 2007;
  • Participated in the committees for the entrance exams to the Faculty of Dental Medicine of the Lebanese University and the committees for the colloquium exams and admission to the Civil Service Council, the Security Forces and the Lebanese Army;
  • Author of books, publications, articles and scientific lectures in the field of preventive dentistry in Lebanon, Arab and European countries;
  • Recipient of a number of medals in Lebanon and France, including the Lebanese National Order of Merit – Silver in 2019, the bronze Art Medal City of Paris Award at the request of the French Dental Association in 1998 and the Gold Medal of the Lebanese Maronite League in 2021.
