  • Diploma in Advanced Studies in Earth Physics & Chemistry from the National Polytechnic Institute of Lorraine (INPL) – France in 1997.
  • Master's degree in Geology from the Faculty of Science, Lebanese University in 1996.

Professional Career

  • Lecturer at the Faculty of Science at the Lebanese University in 2001.
  • Promoted to the rank of professor in 2007.
  • Coordinator of the International Relations Committee - Lebanese University since 2021.
  • Member of the Strategic Planning Steering Committee/Presidency of the Lebanese University.
  • Director and expert in the implementation of EU projects at the Lebanese University.
  • Contributed to expanding partnerships with European institutions through the establishment of double degree agreements/international partnerships.
  • Contributed to the management of international academic mobility projects within the EU's Erasmus+ program (students and faculty members).
  • Coordinator of the MSc in Earth Sciences at the Faculty of Science, Lebanese University.
  • Member of the Scientific Committee at the Doctoral School of Science & Technology, Lebanese University.
  • Member of the National Committee for PHC Cedre, Lebanon.
  • Coordinator of Erasmus+ projects and other EU projects such as Prima, ENI CBC, and Interreg Next Med.
  • Contributed to the establishment and coordination of the “Earth Sciences Platform” based on a regional technical and academic union (Cyprus, Egypt, Lebanon, France).
  • Member of the Environment & Minerals Laboratory at the National Institute of Polytechnics in Lorraine (INPL), France, for several years.
  • Supervisor and rapporteur for PhD dissertations of Lebanese University students in partnership with the Doctoral School of Science & Technology and European universities.
  • Author of dozens of research papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals related to chemistry, geology, and environment.
