Workshop on “Behavioral Sciences and the Fight Against Corruption” at FI - Branch 1
The Faculty of Information (FI) - Branch 1 hosted a workshop organized by the Ministry of Administrative Development for students at the Lebanese University, entitled “Integrating Behavioral Sciences into the Update of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy.”
The workshop addressed how behavioral sciences can be used to develop public policies and promote a culture of integrity, transparency, and accountability within public institutions, as well as the importance of implementing concrete measures to reduce corruption and strengthen trust between citizens and the state.
Students from different faculties participated in the workshop, which was facilitated by Dr. Diana Dakhlallah, in collaboration with the team from the Anti-Corruption Unit of the Ministry of State for Administrative Development.
The workshop included interactive practical sessions, including simulations and educational games, which allowed students to test concepts of administrative behavior, understand mechanisms for promoting integrity and transparency, and present proposals reflecting their vision of the role of young people in institutional reform.
This workshop is part of a series of consultative meetings organized by the ministry as part of the update of the national anti-corruption strategy (2020-2025) and highlights the importance of involving the national university and students in public policy-making and building institutions that are more transparent and responsive to citizens' needs.
