LU contributes to the preparation of a regional report for the ETF
A group of professors from the Lebanese University (LU) participated in the preparation of the national report reviewing the professional development support system in Lebanon, in collaboration with the Mediterranean Universities Union (UNIMED) and the European Training Foundation (ETF).
The LU team, which included the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA), Dr. Sélim Mekdissi, Dr. Linda Achkouti, Dr. Riad Mekdessi, and Dr. Sarah Makhoul, prepared a comprehensive national report presenting the reality of the career guidance and development system in Lebanon, including:
- The institutional and legislative framework governing the sector
- The main actors and ways of coordinating between them
- The challenges hindering the development of career guidance services
- Practical recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of national policies in this area
National Career Development Support System Review Report – Lebanon
The ETF used the content of the Lebanese report, along with similar reports from Jordan, Tunisia, and Algeria, to prepare a consolidated regional report entitled “Review of Career Development Support Systems in the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean Countries,” which is a comparative analytical reference that presents common trends, challenges, and opportunities for strengthening career guidance policies in the region.
The regional report was published on the official website of the European Training Foundation
This participation confirms the LU's position as a reliable academic partner in international projects and its role in producing knowledge that contributes to the development of national policies in the fields of higher education, training, and the labor market.
