Workshop on “Macroeconomics” at FEBA - Branch 4

A series of workshops has been launched at the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEBA) - Branch 4, in collaboration with Neuron Code Consultancy Company (NCCC), with the aim of helping students understand the economic, financial, legal, and governance challenges in Lebanon and enabling them to acquire the skills and methodologies that will allow them to analyze problems and develop practical approaches to solving them.

The first workshop, entitled “The Importance of Macroeconomics and the Economic History of Lebanon,” brought together more than forty students from different disciplines and the director of the branch, Dr. Zawkan Al Jarmani.

The session included a presentation on macroeconomic indicators in Lebanon and their significance for understanding the economic reality, followed by an interactive activity in which students analyzed data, assessed their understanding of macroeconomics, and proposed innovative ways to promote economic development.

The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Hanin Al Fakih, a graduate of the faculty and economic expert at the International Monetary Fund, with the participation of management and good governance advisor Mr. Dani Haddad, executive director of the NCCC, and Judge Sandra Mahtar.

In its second part, the workshop welcomed economic journalist Mahassen Moursel, who shared valuable information with the students and answered their questions and queries.

Note: The second workshop will be held next Saturday, November 15, 2025.
